Disney...Magic Bands....Be Our Guest

We were so excited to be able to try out the Magic Bands at Disney World this past week!

I think I was looking forward to trying them out more than the kids were.  The first day at the parks we encountered a bit of trouble.

We got to the Magic Kingdom, and we were all elated to be there.  But, as we scanned our Magic Bands and then our fingers, we were told our bands were not valid.  I asked what we could do, and I was told that if I had our plastic room keys/tickets we could be admitted.  Thankfully, I had mine and my husband's, and the kids all managed to get in, but I was told that I would need to go to guest relations inside the park at sometime to get our bands fixed.  My sister, on the other hand, did not have her's or my mom's.  So, they were directed to the extremely long guest relations line outside the park.  Now, we were getting to the park with just enough time to get to our fast pass reservations to Be Our Guest, so we were all a little upset by 3 of our party of 8 not being admitted into the park.  But, there was nothing we could do about it but wait, so while Brad and the kids waited at the park entrance, I took Brad's magic band and went to guest relations at City Hall.  After about 15 minutes, our magic bands were sorted out, and we continued to wait on my mom and sister.  My mom finally was admitted, so we started on our way to Be Our Guest, where my sister met up with us.

When we arrived at Be Our Guest, since I had made Fast Pass+ reservations and preordered our meals, we were sent directly inside to find our seats.  No waiting in line to get inside (which was over an hour long), no waiting in line to order, just walk in and find a table!  We got our drinks and silverware, and in a short amount of time our delicious lunch found its way to our table.  They find you by your magic band!  The food was delicious!  The setting was delightful!  We spent a little time walking around admiring the rooms.  We ate in the ball room, and it was straight out of Beauty and the Beast.  The chandeliers, the snow on the window panes, it was perfect.

The west wing was dark, and there was thunder and lightning.  The other room had pictures of all the characters and had Belle and the Beast dancing in the center.
